The amazing power of exercise to improve our health…

We know you have heard it many times before, but if exercise were a pill, it would be the most widely prescribed medications in the world. It would be given to children, the elderly and everyone in between. It would be given to those with cancer, or other chronic diseases, as well as to people without.

Exercise helps with so many things! It helps:

  • Improve mood

  • Manage stress

  • Reduce Cardiovascular disease

  • Improve brain health and reduce the risk of dementia

  • improves strength and aging independently

  • Helps with weight management

  • Reduces the risk of diabetes

……..And the list goes on and on an on!

But the good thing is that it doesn’t have to be sweating in the gym everyday. It doesn’t have to be running a 5k. It means moving every day by increasing your incidental activity; whether it is taking the stairs instead of the escalator, parking a bit further from the store, or doing the gardening. Every little bit helps.
